How to permanently delete your Doughsense account and all associated financial data. Includes data retention policy and account recovery information.

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data will be permanently removed.

How to Delete Your Account

Method 1: From the App

  1. Sign in to Doughsense at app.doughsense.com
  2. Go to Settings > General
  3. Scroll to the Danger Zone section
  4. Click Delete Account
  5. Confirm deletion in the dialog
  6. Your account will be deleted immediately

Method 2: Email Request

If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion via email:

Email: support@doughsense.com/a> Subject: Account Deletion Request Include:

  • The email address associated with your account
  • A statement confirming you want to delete your account

We will process your request and send confirmation when complete.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your Doughsense account, we permanently remove:

Personal Information

  • Email address
  • Name and profile information
  • Authentication credentials
  • Device identifiers

Financial Data

  • All accounts (bank, credit cards, investments, etc.)
  • Transaction history
  • Budget configurations
  • Financial goals and plans
  • Net worth tracking data
  • Cash flow projections
  • Custom categories and tags

App Data

  • App preferences and settings
  • Subscription information
  • Usage analytics linked to your account
  • Export history

Important Considerations

ⓘ Before You Delete
  • Export your data: Use the export feature to download your financial data
  • Cancel subscriptions: Active subscriptions will be cancelled
  • Save important information: Once deleted, we cannot recover your data

Subscription Cancellation

If you have an active subscription:

  • Your subscription will be cancelled through Stripe
  • You will retain access until the end of your current billing period

Account Recovery

  • Account deletion is permanent and irreversible
  • We cannot recover deleted accounts or data
  • You can create a new account with the same email address after deletion
  • A new account will start fresh with no previous data

Alternative: Pause Your Account

If you're unsure about permanent deletion, consider these alternatives:

  • Remove sensitive data: Delete specific accounts or transactions while keeping your account
  • Sign out: Simply sign out without deleting your account
  • Cancel subscription: Your subscription will be cancelled but your data is preserved. You can resubscribe anytime to regain access
